Mein Grund dafür, mich zum Internationalen Flötenwettbewerb Ferdinand W. Neess anzumelden, war dessen außergewöhnliches Konzept, das sofort meine Aufmerksamkeit geweckt hat. Besonders schön fand ich, dass die Moderation der dritten Runde als Ausgangspunkt dienen soll. Dadurch ergibt sich die spannende Herausforderung, die eigenen Wünsche dem künstlerischen Gesamtkonzept unterzuordnen.«

»I took part in the inaugural edition of this competition in 2022. At that time, my playing was what might be called a very typical Japanese style of playing, in the sense that I was simply reproducing the notes exactly as written in the score. Participating in this competition, hearing the performances of the other candidates, and receiving comments from the jury became a major turning point for me, allowing me to open myself up and truly enjoy music. I am already over 30, but because this competition has no age limit, I have the opportunity to take on this challenge once again. This will probably be the last competition of my life. I decided to participate because I would be very happy if the jury could sense the change in me since that time.«
